Simon Eisner´s idé har genom Allwin minskat matsvinn och sparat 10 000 ton CO2e sedan 2004 då idén sjösattes.
Matsvinn sker i alla led i livsmedelskedjan. Bolaget Allwin, i samarbete med Samhall, transporterar mat som butiker annars skulle slänga och levererar det till organisationer som hjälper utsatta människor.
Bolaget hanterar 1000 ton mat per år och sparar därmed 500 ton CO2e per år, enligt egna beräkningar. Hittills man minskat utsläppen med 10 000 ton CO2e.
Genom samarbetet med Samhall får åtgärden också en social dimension då det skapar arbetstillfällen för människor som står långt ifrån arbetsmarknaden.
